As a Together Counts\u2122 ambassador, one of my favorite things about summer is that it just seems easier for families to be together.\u00a0 Without the schedules of the school year, finding time to sit down as a family and share a meal happens more often.<\/p>\n

Some of that summer family togetherness can be extended into the next month or two while the weather is still warm by firing up the grill.\u00a0 If you live in a warm climate like I do, this is a year round opportunity for family fun!<\/p>\n

Grilling out on a weeknight or weekend is an easy way to get dinner on the table while involving the whole family.\u00a0 Adults can be in charge of the meat and fire.\u00a0 Kids can take over setting the table, fruit, veggies, and drinks.<\/p>\n

How Kids Can Help When Grilling Out<\/strong><\/p>\n

Obviously, age-appropriate tasks are key here, but giving a child a project and quietly supervising can be a surprising peek at how much they can do on their own!<\/p>\n
