3 Tips for Staying Healthy and Happy this Holiday Season

It’s that time of year! The coming weeks will be filled with family, friends, laughter and food…lots of yummy food. If you’re looking for a few ways to enjoy your favorite treats and still stay on track with your healthy and active lifestyle, check out some great tips below. Most importantly remember to enjoy the magic of this season.

Check out these three tips to incorporate into your festivities for a healthy and fun holiday season.

1. Snack on veggies! Are you a grazer during the holidays? Keep celery and carrot sticks or sliced cucumber and peppers on hand to satisfy snacktime.
2. Take a walk after dinner! Even if it’s a little chilly out, throw on your boots and inspire a visiting relative to come for an after dinner walk while dessert is being served. Not only will you get in some exercise, you will also catch up with a loved one.
3. Start with a glass of water! Make this holiday season the time you increase your water consumption. Start each meal with a tall glass of cold water and you will find yourself fuller faster.
