Spring into Action

Tuesday, March 20th is the first day of spring! Have you and your family put together your spring cleaning list? Maybe your grocery list could use some updates, too. There is still time! Spring is such a wonderful time of renewal and refresh. Check out the list below for a few fun additions for your next trip to the supermarket.

Incorporate these three fruits and vegetables into your meal plans this month to continue leading a healthy and active lifestyle!

1. Spring is the prime time for incorporating strawberries into your routine. Strawberries make a delicious and healthy addition to everything from your breakfast cereal to a spinach salad.
2. Nothing brightens up a dish like corn. Corn is a healthy and tasty vegetable to eat alone, or serve in a corn salsa for a snack.
3. Looking for something sweet? Mangos make for a great dessert. Peel and dice your mangoes then keep them in the freezer throughout the week for a quick treat for the whole family.
4. Don’t forget you can enjoy these and many other fruits and vegetables all year canned or frozen. For more fruits and vegetables to incorporate into your diet this spring, check out our friends at Produce for Better Health.
