Beat the Heat and have a Healthy and Active July

As we approach the middle of the summer season, families across country are feeling the heat. The rising temperatures can make your daily summer routine a little tricky. Check out these fun ways to keep the kids productive this summer and take a break from the heat.
1. Don’t want to deal with the crowds at your local pool? Suit up the kids in their bathing suits and turn on the sprinkler. The kids will be able to cool off and run around the yard. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
2. Take a trip to the local library. Your public library will most likely have a full and fun summer activity schedule and air conditioning. The whole family can keep on track with their summer reading lists.
3. Make homemade fresh fruit popsicles with the kids. There is nothing more refreshing than a healthy and homemade popsicle. Include the kids in the process and have them choose their favorite fruits. Check out this recipe for Fresh Fruit and Yogurt Ice Pops from our partners at Allrecipes.com.
